Marriott Hotels selected five thought leaders/tribe Leaders of similar attitudes, lifestyles and aspirations, including TV presenter Katie Piper, and England rugby ace Danny Care, to share their vision of the hotel guest room of the future. We interviewed all 5 tribe leaders to find out their ideas for a guestroom of the future. The interviews captured each tribe leaders personality and ideas.
Elements of the #brilliantguestroom ranged from the social media savvy, like an interactive Instagram wall, to mind-controlled projectors!
The general public were then asked to vote on the best elements of each room design for the chance of winning a holiday as part of the competition.
We worked with carefully selected blogger outreach to ensure maximum effectiveness and reach of the films for the campaign launch.
The film sells the message to the generation Y they were hoping to communicate with and it was shot hand held with manual zoom work giving a responsive look and feel. This really helped communicate the immediacy and excitement around the launch of the campaign and competition. The campaign was a great success went viral and was voted one of the best hotel social media campaigns in 2014.
