The Project
The stunning Sorrento hotel, the Grand Excelsior Vittoria, requested that we provide them with a promotional film. This was intended to capture the hotel’s glamorous past and glittering present. A honeypot to the Hollywood stars and royalty alike, we created a story to communicate the hotel’s dazzling draw.
A maid at the hotel discusses her impending holiday with her colleague, only for the viewer to travel with her on her getaway to her destination – the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria itself. She dines, relaxes, and rests in the decadence of the hotel, as well as taking in the irresistible cultural delights of Sorrento. She drifts on the sparkling waves in a boat off the Amalfi Coast, taking in the atmosphere of this beautiful part of the world.
The Location
The Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria has hosted illustrious figures such as Otto von Bismarck, King George V, Luciano Pavarotti and Sophia Loren. Its Venetian style architecture provides the perfect place to relax, from the tastefully styled rooms to the terrace overlooking the glittering ocean.
Sorrento is a stylish destination and a jewel in Italy’s tourism crown. Not only does it offer unrivalled luxury and relaxation, but it lies in one of the most culturally rich regions of the country. The nearby Roman ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii are a truly magnificent archaeological delight, lying beneath the commanding Mount Vesuvius. These, the Isle of Capri, and the charming coastal towns mean that guests not only enjoy a destination like no other within the hotel, but can also create unforgettable memories outside its shining walls.
