We recently had the opportunity to create a brand video for a hotel that led to a significant increase in bookings from Chinese guests. Through research, we discovered that many Chinese visitors to the USA and European cities prefer to stay near luxury shops, where they can purchase designer items that are heavily taxed in China.
To leverage this insight, we designed the opening scene of the video to feature a model walking into the hotel with various designer shopping bags, highlighting the proximity of luxury shopping options. This subtle yet powerful visual cue effectively showcased the hotel’s prime location for shopping enthusiasts, leading to a noticeable uptick in reservations.
This project not only underscores the importance of understanding guest habits but also demonstrates how strategic videography can enhance a hotel’s appeal. We’re eager to apply these insights to help more hotels attract and engage their target audiences through compelling video content.
